Masonic Spare Parts

Support Troupe

What is "Masonic Spare Parts?"

Masonic Spare Parts was started, partly in jest, by a tightly knit band of brothers from lodges on the South Shore of Boston who had found themselves greatly enjoying the fellowship of visiting brothers and assisting in other lodges in their district and beyond.  They initially referred to themselves as "The Road Trip Committee."  It became their mission to support their brothers by assisting them when doing degree work, or even for just a visit and fellowship.

Some lodges just needed a few chairs filled once in awhile, while others need an unofficial degree team.  One south of Boston lodge in particular, has been transformed by many of these brothers who have affiliated and took it from one of the most quiet lodges on the South Shore, to one of the most vibrant and active.

In a nutshell, Masonic Spare Parts is about bringing an enthusiastic, lively influence to any degree work, which cannot help but have an effect on the lodge itself as well as candidates.  It is important that our candidates receive the best degree work possible because they are only "made a Mason" once, and it should be a memorable experience.

Not limited to degree work alone, we enjoy the fellowship and friendship of visiting.  Any Massachusetts lodge who may find themselves needing to fill some chairs, or who may just want a visit from a fun group of guys, need only to ask.

Masonic Spare Parts, in theory, is not limited to South Shore brothers.  If you enjoy fellowship and visiting, or filling in for degree work, you may not realize it but... you too may be a Masonic Spare Part!
